BHRN & BOLD Workshop
Employee Relations Improv
Thursday, March 12, 2009
4:00 - 7:00 pm
Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
2100 Powell Street

This interactive workshop is designed to sharpen your creativity, prompt you to marvel at the creativity intrinsic to the work we do, and provide an opportunity to enjoy deep, renewing belly laughs that can strengthen our sense of well-being
Are you tired for same old mundane tasks? Tracking resumes, EEO compliance, 5500’s, generating reports, administering compensation and benefits, etc.
We can become “burned out” by relentless changes and challenges in our companies, become cynical, resentful “gatekeepers” rather than the “wisdom-keepers” we can be. Importantly, we can lose the courage it takes to listen to and act on our hunches, our intuition.
To be effective in the work we do, it is essential that we –
Sustain a healthy level of commitment and optimism during stressful times
Provide encouragement and conviction –even when we don’t feel any
Handle tough times when our inner resources are depleted
Maintain emotional stamina in the face of uncertainty and demanding change
We need to cultivate a sense of well being that we need as “wisdom-keepers” and stewards of the common good. So come play with us.
