Purpose of Position: Partner with HR Management to proactively lead, implement and oversee Human Resources strategy, policies and activities. Strong recruiting background required to assist hiring managers in developing recruiting strategies, sourcing and screening candidates, interviewing, and developing offer packages. Ensure compliance with company’s policies and all federal and state labor laws. Assist with administration of company’s benefit programs and company events. Additional responsibility includes HRIS maintenance. This position will partner with the HR Manager and VP to help administer and implement various human resource initiatives. Overall, this opportunity will provide a variety of human resource services that are in support of the company’s corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staffing function and oversee company relocation and immigration programs
- Manage the maintenance of the HRIS system
- Assure company’s policies are in compliance with federal and state labor laws
- Offer support in managing a variety of Human Resources initiatives and programs
- Assist in managing the benefits program, including new hire orientation
Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of related Human Resources experience
- Previous experience working with staffing, benefits, HRIS, and compliance is required
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Health Care industry is preferred
- Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills are also required
- Must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of employment law
- Must demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment and to build credibility at all levels
- PeopleSoft experience is a plus

Purpose of Position: Lead and support the organizational efforts to build world class expertise by developing, delivering, and brokering appropriate solutions that address or answer complex business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with VP, the team, and the organization to build resilience and be a learning organization
- Manage the Onyx learning program by partnering effectively with VP, the team, and the organization to assess our organization development needs and recommend solutions

Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent experience with 12+ years of experience demonstrating deep knowledge of organization development theory and practice with a heavy emphasis on practice to include:

- leading change initiatives and organizational readiness initiatives
- managing and developing the skills and capabilities of a diverse cross-functional team (teams); and, partnering with other managers to develop their staff
- experience in high growth and rapidly changing corporate environments highly desirable

About the Position
FivePrime seeks an experienced human resources executive to lead all
HR activities with an approach that supports and enhances the

candidate will not only manage day-to-day operations, but will bring
a strategic perspective to identifying opportunities to improve
organizational effectiveness. The executive will be responsible for
supervising the Human Resources group and managing relationships with
all outside HR service providers and consultants.
Responsibilities
Organizational Effectiveness and Employee Development
• Partner with the executive team and senior management to align the
organizational structure, practices, and communication with the
company's strategy and culture
• Identify and help managers foster management practices that lead to
outstanding performance for individuals and teams
• Support managers and provide coaching, tools and assistance in
handling employee issues

Requirements
• An undergraduate degree (advanced degree preferred) and 10+ years
HR experience; biotech experience required
• Minimum two years experience as the top HR executive in a small to
mid-size company or an independent division of a large company
• Track record of providing strategic focus for HR initiatives within
an innovative environment
• Ability to identify and analyze issues and implement effective
and/or creative solutions; ability to deal with complexity and
ambiguity
• Experience working with all levels of employees, as well as
external stakeholders. Ability to facilitate group meetings with a
proven ability to manage and motivate teams
• Expertise in delivering HR programs and services. Experience in
design, development and implementation of salary administration plans
and benefits program.
• Working knowledge of federal, state (CA) and local employment, wage
and salary laws and regulations
